Significant changes were made to the UK immigration system in July this year, with further changes expected.
Pam Sidhu, Partner & Head of Business Immigration at Wilkes, will provide an immigration update together with colleague Satinder Gill, senior specialist immigration barrister at Five Paper Chambers.
We will look at the impact on the immigration routes open to German businesses. We will consider the latest position on topics including:
- Introduction to UK sponsorship & major changes implemented from 22 July 2025
- Increasing focus on higher skilled roles
- Stricter requirements for UK visas
- Current position on temporary & short-term UK visits, including internships
- Increasing emphasis on compliance matters in the UK
- Further changes on the horizon
There will be an approximate 20-25 minute presentation, followed by a detailed case study. As part of the presentation and case study, we will look at how we have navigated solutions for many German businesses on both short term and long-term projects in the UK. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers.
