Get information on the key immigration routes open to German businesses

Since Brexit, it is not possible for EU nationals to enter the UK for work or business purposes without an immigration permission. It is therefore essential for German businesses to understand the immigration requirements and the key routes that permit their workers to enter the UK, whether for short term or long term visits. Further, UK border officials are now increasingly questioning EU nationals upon entry into the UK as to the purpose of their visit and to show their paperwork in this regard. This can carry risks to the business, as well as the worker.

UK business immigration law expert Pam Sidhu (Head of Business Immigration, The Wilkes Partnership solicitors) and her colleague will explain the key immigration routes open to German businesses in order to bring workers and other visitors to the UK. They will consider UK sponsorship, frontier worker permits, temporary business visitors and other immigration routes relevant to EU workers, as well as an update on the new and expanded immigration routes available from 11 April 2022. The UK government implemented some significant changes to the UK immigration system, which will open up entirely new routes and modify other routes.

The speakers will also give important practical tips, including how to deal with questions at the border and how to decide which immigration route may be most appropriate in your case. The speakers each have at least 20 years’ business immigration law experience.

The session will begin with a formal presentation and then an opportunity for delegates to ask questions.
